With immense pleasure and excitement, I extend my warmest welcome to you on behalf of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University (BSMRAAU), which will introduce you to a world of boundless opportunities and transformative learning experiences.

The establishment of BSMRAAU is deeply rooted in the educational philosophy of Bangabandhu and the imperative for fostering indigenous capabilities in the domain of aviation and aerospace development within the country. The realisation of this vision, inspired by the Father of the Nation, has been expedited with the vision, foresight, and support of our Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Academic endeavours commenced within months of the university's inception in February 2020, and by June 2022, the undergraduate programmes had found a new home at the Lalmonirhat Campus. In this relatively short span, we have broadened our array of academic offerings, fortified our research capabilities, and established partnerships with leading institutions across the globe.
Our mission is to nurture aspiring aviation, space, and technology professionals and enthusiasts through world-class education. We are committed to being a research-intensive and student-focused university. As our capacity and infrastructure continue to grow, we are poised to introduce an array of new undergraduate, graduate, MPhil, and PhD programmes spanning the full spectrum of aviation and aerospace studies.
