The main campus of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University (BSMRAAU) has been planned to be established at Lalmonirhat district. The chosen site of the university consists of 638 acres of land. Development project of BSMRAAU campus at Lalmonirhat (1^st Phase) has been planned to develop from the year 2024. However, initially the university started her academic activities from old airport buildings at Tejgaon belongs to Bangladesh Air Force. Presently this campus houses post-graduate level education programs.  From June 2022 the academic and administrative activities of under-graduate programmes started from Lalmonirhat, a magnificent two stored building constructed by Bangladesh Air Force Welfare Trust (BAFWT).  Moreover, a four-stored residential building has been constructed by BAFWT for teachers and officials. Apart from this, four male student halls and one female student hall are being operated in rented buildings within the close proximity of the university for providing residential facilities to the students. We have formulated the development project proposal (DPP) and Academic Master Plan (AMP) in light of the university’s strategic road map. The DPP has been forwarded to Ministry of Education to process for approval.
